General Rules

Discipline is an integral part of education. Every student of St. Paul’s Public School is expected to uphold the school’s values and follow the rules responsibly within and outside the school premises.

Code of Conduct

  • Strict discipline must be maintained both inside and outside the school.
  • Students should assemble class-wise for the morning assembly.
  • Every student should behave respectfully towards the members of the staff.
  • Participation in all school programmes is compulsory.
  • Pupils who are absent from class must bring a leave note from their guardians stating the reason for absence.
  • Students must reach the school before the first bell and should not leave the school premises without permission from the Principal or class teacher.
  • Children should not lend or borrow any articles from others.
  • Playing or shouting inside the school buildings is strictly forbidden. Pupils should keep to the left while passing along corridors or staircases.
  • The school uniform must be worn daily and maintained neatly.
  • Irregular attendance, negligence in school work, dishonesty, obscenity, insubordination, or misconduct (even outside school) are sufficient reasons for dismissal.
  • Pupils should be simple and modest in dress. Gold ornaments should not be used.
  • No books, newspapers, or periodicals other than school books may be brought into class.
  • Pupils from one class are not allowed to enter another classroom without permission.
  • Reports of marks and conduct will be sent to parents and must be returned duly signed.
  • Every pupil should behave politely and courteously while travelling by the school bus or private conveyance.
  • A pupil availing of the school bus from the beginning of a term must continue for the whole term. Discontinuation should be informed in advance.
  • Each pupil is responsible for the safe custody of his/her belongings.
  • All personal articles, including books, should be kept neat and properly labelled.
  • The cost of any damage or loss of school property will be recovered from the pupil concerned.
  • Scribbling on walls and furniture is prohibited. Offenders will face disciplinary action.
  • It is compulsory that all pupils converse in English while in the school premises.
